  • 100 g quark
  • 30 g sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 180 g flour
  • 1 tsp, heaped baking powder
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Uncomplicated

Mix together the quark, sugar, egg yolks, oil, and milk. Combine the flour and baking powder, add to the quark, and knead into a smooth dough. Mix very soft butter, honey, and vanilla sugar until creamy. Roll out the dough. Brush the buttercream onto the dough, leaving no edges. Roll out the dough and cut into 1-2 cm thick slices. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Preheat oven to 180°C (fan). Bake the snails for 15 minutes. Roll the still-hot snails in a mixture of powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. Note: The buttercream will absorb into the dough; it is not a filling!
