Sweet-sour Eggs

The perfect sweet-sour eggs recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 750 Milliliters Water
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 3 tablespoon Vinegar
  • 4 tablespoon Mustard medium hot
  • 1 piece Fresh onion
  • 75 g Diced bacon
  • 6 piece Free range eggs
  1. Stir sugar, vinegar and mustard into 750 ml water. Cut the onion into small pieces
  2. Fry the onion with the bacon (raw ham cubes) and sprinkle with flour. (A typical roux)
  3. Slowly pour the liquid into the pan while stirring (always sip it, otherwise it will be too thin)
  4. Finally, crack the eggs in the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes with the lid on.
  5. Enjoy your meal
