Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 10 eggs
- 150 g flour
- 100 g cornstarch
- 150 g sugar
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 8 cups of quark (sweet tooth, 150 g each)
- e.g. marzipan
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 day 1 hour 40 minutes
Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt and 50g of sugar until stiff peaks form, then set aside. Beat the egg yolks with 100g of sugar and the vanilla sugar until frothy. Mix the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder, sift them over the mixture, and stir in. Finally, carefully fold in the beaten egg whites. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Bake for about 10 minutes (I divided the dough and baked each half in the oven for 10 minutes; if you double the amount, it might take longer). Allow the base to cool thoroughly. Spread the quark over the base. Refrigerate overnight. The next day, decorate the cake with marzipan as desired.
