Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 apples (e.g. Boskoop)
  • 50 g raisins
  • 50 g almond sticks
  • 2 tbsp apricot jam
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 20 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Wash the apples, remove the blossoms and stems, and core them. Wash the apples again, briefly blanch them in hot water, and let them drain. Place the apples in a greased baking dish. Mix the raisins with the almonds, apricot jam, and cinnamon. Place the filling into the apple cavity using a teaspoon and press it in with the handle of a spoon. Place a knob of butter on each apple and bake at 180–190°C (top/bottom heat) for about 25–30 minutes. Serve the baked apples immediately while still hot, or with vanilla ice cream and cold custard.
