The Diseases Caused by Eating Fast Food Have Been Revealed

According to experts, in addition to obesity and being overweight, such food can provoke the development of five more dangerous diseases.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 40% of people regularly eat fast food which puts their bodies at risk. According to experts, in addition to obesity and being overweight, such food can provoke the development of five more dangerous diseases.

Heart disease

Diets high in saturated fat and processed foods are associated with the risk of developing heart disease. Cardiologists note that the conditionally acceptable dose of saturated fat per day is no more than 13 grams. One hamburger or a serving of French fries is already 14 grams. Refined grains in such foods increase the risk of diabetes, obesity, and the amount of sodium can provoke high blood pressure.

Metabolic syndrome

Such products contain soda, which in large quantities can severely undermine your health. Studies show that frequent consumption of carbonated drinks with sugar leads to the development of metabolic syndrome, a condition in which blood pressure, blood sugar, blood triglyceride levels, and HDL (good) cholesterol levels increase. This leads to an increase in waist size, and risk of heart disease, diabetes, and dementia.

Type 2 diabetes

Obesity, consuming too much sugar, and eating a lot of processed foods are all associated with the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, a condition in which the body cannot properly process blood sugar. This leads to the body becoming more resistant to insulin. Studies show that eating fast food twice a week can double the risk of insulin resistance in 15 years.

Hypertension

Such food is high in fat, calories, and sodium, which negatively affects blood pressure. Frequent consumption increases the risk of developing hypertension and high blood pressure. And this, in turn, carries a risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Cancer

Studies show that eating sugar and processed meat can increase the risk of developing cancer. Factory-made foods are high in saturated fat, sugar, and salt increasing this risk by 12%. This list includes sweets, fats, sauces, and processed foods.
