Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 slices of sandwich toast
  • 1 tsp, heaped mustard
  • 1 tsp, heaped mayonnaise
  • 1 slice(s) ham, baked or smoked
  • 1 slice(s) Gruyère
  • 1 egg(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp liquid honey, e.g. forest honey
  • Butter or nut butter for spreading

Instructions

Working time approx. 3 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 11 minutes

Preheat the pan or, if you have a panini grill, set it to panini and preheat. Lay out the sandwich slices and spread them with butter. Then spread the mustard on two slices and the mayonnaise on the other two. Top the sandwiches with the ham and cheese and fold them together. Crack the egg in a bowl and whisk it with salt and pepper. Turn the sandwich over. Once the pan or panini grill is at temperature, add the sandwich and fry or grill until golden brown on both sides. Set the grill to “Medium” or “Medium/Done.” Remove the finished sandwiches, drizzle with honey, let cool slightly if desired, and enjoy.
