Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 cup rice (short grain rice)
- 4 cups milk (3.5%)
- 1 large vanilla pod(s)
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 50 g butter
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Melt the butter in a tall saucepan. Add the short-grain rice and sauté gently with a wooden spoon for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add the milk a cup at a time, stirring well. Split the vanilla pod and scrape out the seeds. Add both and simmer. Reduce heat to low and let the rice swell. Set an egg timer for 30 minutes. Stir and serve warm.
