The quick buttermilk onion bread with 8 herbs cream cheese

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 cubes of yeast, 42 g each
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 kg Flour , 405
  • 1 liter buttermilk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pack of onions (fried onions)
  • 250 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 200 ml cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • Garlic
  • 1 pack of herbs (8 herbs)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

2 cubes of yeast, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of sugar; mix these three ingredients together until liquid. Sift flour into a bowl and pour the liquid yeast over it. Stir in the buttermilk, salt, and fried onions and let it rise briefly. Pour the dough into two greased loaf pans, cut a slit in the top, and let it rise again in the oven at 50°C for 15 minutes. Then increase the oven temperature to 200°C-220°C and bake for 45 minutes. Make a cream cheese spread from the quark and the remaining ingredients.
