Thread Cake
The perfect thread cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Kadayif (angel hair)
- 250 g Melted butter
- 50 g Chopped pistachios
- Syrup;
- 400 ml Water
- 600 g Sugar
- Some squirts of lemon juice
- Spread the dough threads on a baking sheet (pull apart).
- Melt the butter, pour it over the threads of the dough and knead everything together thoroughly.
- Put the dough strings in a springform pan, distribute on top and press flat.
- Bake golden in the not preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 25 minutes.
- Bring the sugar with the water and lemon juice to the boil and pour evenly onto the still hot kadayif and let it rest for at least 1 hour.
- Garnish with the ground pistachios and cut into diamonds or squares of the same size. You can also sprinkle with ground almonds or walnuts instead of pistachios.
