Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Combine the ingredients for the patties in a bowl and mix by hand. Add breadcrumbs to taste until the mixture reaches a good consistency. Then form 3 patties, each 120 grams. If you have a device for this, you can use that. Now fry the meat in a pan with a little oil. While the meat is cooking, slice or ring the tomatoes and onion. Chop the gherkins. If you don’t have gherkins, you can also use regular cucumber. Cut the lettuce leaves into strips. Simply cut the strips directly from the lettuce head; this saves time. When the meat is cooked, place two slices of cheese on each head and wait until the cheese melts. Now fry the ham, but only briefly so that the ham slices don’t shrink too much. You can also use a second pan for this. Cut open the hamburger buns and briefly toast the cut sides. Put a dollop of Thuringian Born ketchup on the bottom half. If you don’t have Born ketchup, use other ketchup. Place the lettuce strips on top. Now place the meat and the melted cheese on top. Draw a circle of mayo on the cheese and add the pickles. If you have fried onions, you can add them here. Top with a few tomato slices and onion rings. Then add a pinch of freshly ground pepper. Then add the fried ham. Simply place the slices lengthwise. Cover with the top of the bun. Enjoy!
