Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ cup rolled oats, wholegrain
  • ½ cup oatmeal, fine
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ apple, grated
  • 1 handful of almonds, chopped
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp desiccated coconut
  • 1 tbsp almonds, ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

with apple-cinnamon or coconut flavors, perfect to take away

Mix the oats with the flour and gradually add water until you have a smooth dough. If it’s too runny, just add a little more flour. Sweeten the dough with syrup and add a pinch of salt. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Spread the mixture on a baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes. Check occasionally to make sure they don’t turn brown. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and cut the bars into pieces (careful, they’re hot!). Let the pieces cool, then break them apart and enjoy. For the apple and cinnamon bars: Add the apple to the mixture. Also add the chopped almonds and cinnamon. For the coconut bars: Add the desiccated coconut and ground almonds to the basic recipe. There are no limits to your creativity and taste! Whether dried fruit, crunchy muesli, nuts, spices, or fresh fruit, you can use anything here. If you use fresh fruit, you may need to add a little more flour, otherwise the dough will be too moist!
