ideal for the party and totally easy and quick
First, I always soak the halved rolls in milk and a little water. Cut the bell peppers into very small cubes, chop the garlic finely, and tear the sliced cheese into small pieces with your hands. Then squeeze the liquid out of the rolls and mix them with the minced meat, eggs, garlic, and diced bell peppers. Season generously with pepper, salt, and paprika to taste. Finally, mix in the sliced cheese. Line a baking tray with baking paper, place the slices of bread on top, and spread the minced meat mixture on top. Each baking tray should hold about 8 slices. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan-assisted) and bake the bread for about 30-40 minutes (depending on how browned you want it). This recipe is great for preparing ahead for a party, especially in winter when you can store the finished baking trays on the balcony in a cool place. If you like, you can also make the recipe with onions.
