Toasties with cooked ham and herb melted cheese

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g cooked ham
  • 400 g herb cheese spread
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 12 g slice(s) of whole-grain toast

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 13 minutes; Total time approx. 33 minutes

Toast the bread slices lightly to medium. Cut the cooked ham slices into small squares. Finely chop the onion. Mix the processed cheese, cooked ham slices, egg yolk, and onion in a bowl with a fork. Spread the mixture on the toast. I always use a fork for this. The mixture is enough for about 10 large slices of toast, unless you prefer it thicker. Then bake the toast at 180-200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 10-13 minutes, depending on the desired browning. Feel free to serve gherkin (sticks) and tomato slices as garnishes.
