Tomato and Cream Cheese Sauce

The perfect tomato and cream cheese sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Egg pasta macaroni short
  • 500 ml Sieved tomatos
  • 1 Can Pizza tomatoes
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 100 g Cream cheese low in fat
  • 50 ml Vegetable broth
  • 50 ml Milk
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • Salt, pepper, basil, oregano
  • 75 g Grated Emmental
  1. Dice the onion and sauté in 1 tablespoon of oil
  1. Add the strained and pizza tomatoes, add sugar and simmer for 5 minutes on a low heat
  1. Add the stock and milk, stir in the cream cheese
  1. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring again and again so that the cream cheese dissolves
  1. Season to taste with salt, pepper, basil & oregano
  1. There was also a little grated Emmental on top
