Tomato and Mozzarella Tower
The perfect tomato and mozzarella tower recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 piece Iceberg lettuce fresh
- 4 piece Tomatoes
- 4 piece Mozzarella
- 1 piece Cucumber
- 12 piece Fresh basil leaves
- 3 piece Garlic cloves chopped
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper from the grinder
- 12 piece Peel-Deveined scampi
- 12 piece Olives
- 12 piece Toothpick
- 5 tablespoon Olive oil
- Some balsamic cream
- 1 bunch Freshly chopped chives
- Wash the salad and cut into very fine strips. Spread over 4 breakfast plates. A nice bed of lettuce; o)
- Wash the tomatoes and cucumber. Cut into slices with the mozzarella, the slices should be about 5 mm thick. Chop the garlic. Place the ingredients on the bed of lettuce in the following order: cucumber-mozzarella-tomato sprinkle with chopped garlic, pepper and salt, and cover the turrets with basil leaves. Skewer an olive on each toothpick and use it to fix the towers (see picture) Sprinkle with chopped chives.
- Heat the olive oil in the pan. Not so hot, please, otherwise it smells … Add a clove of garlic. Place the scampi in the hot oil and fry for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
- Now place 3 scampi per plate in the middle of the plate. If desired, pour balsamic cream over the turrets. With a buagette and a light wine Bon appetit
