Tomato and mustard sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 ml water
  • 1 tsp chicken broth
  • 1 tsp rosemary, ground
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp celery salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 150 g tomato paste
  • 150 g mustard, medium hot
  • 8 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 8 tbsp gelling sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Dissolve the chicken broth in the water, stir in the tomato paste, mustard, balsamic vinegar, and sugar, add the remaining spices, bring to a boil, and simmer for about 5 minutes. Serve the sauce warm or cold. It goes well with currywurst or with a coleslaw and pulled pork. This makes approximately 500 ml.
