Tomato cream sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 can tomato(s), pureed (pelati) or diced
  • 1 m.-large onion(s), chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Tomato puree from the tube
  • ketchup
  • Mixed herbs of your choice, Italian style
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 shot of cream or Rama Cremefine to refine
  • n. B. garlic
  • 1 shot of red wine, if needed
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté chopped onion until translucent. Add canned tomatoes and simmer briefly – if desired, purée with a hand blender. Add tomato puree and ketchup to taste. Season generously with herbs and spices and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes. If you like, press in garlic and add a splash of red wine. Shortly before serving, add a splash of cream or Rama Cremefine and bring back to a boil. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve this sauce with pasta of your choice. Serve with grated cheese and a glass of red wine.
