Tomato – Mozzarella – Salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 2 lettuce hearts
  • 3 balls of mozzarella, 125g each
  • 1 spring onion(s)
  • olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • herbal salt
  • Sugar
  • pepper, black
  • Basil, fresh
  • Cress, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Wash the lettuce hearts and tear into bite-sized pieces, cut the tomatoes into eighths or tenths depending on their size, cut the spring onions into fine rolls, and cut the mozzarella balls into tenths. Mix everything together in a large salad bowl. Salad marinade: Mix the balsamic vinegar, herb salt, pepper, and sugar, add the olive oil, and mix everything well. (Ratio balsamic vinegar: olive oil = 5:3). Roughly chop or tear the basil leaves and add them to the marinade. Serve the salad immediately on large, flat plates. Pour the marinade over the salad and garnish with cress. Serve with freshly baked ciabatta and butter. Tip: I recommend using only organic products; I’ve had the best experiences with Rapunzel herb salt for the herb salt.
