Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 cup rice
- 1 m.-sized onion(s)
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- 400 g tomatoes, pureed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- some salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
delicious as a side dish, e.g. to gyros and other meat dishes
Prepare the rice according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, finely chop the garlic and finely dice the onion. Heat olive oil in a saucepan and sauté the garlic and onion until translucent. Add the passata and simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes. Drain the rice and mix it with the tomato sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
