Tuna burger with mayo-jam sauce, simply delicious

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 can of tuna
  • 1 bag of mixed salad
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp jam, preferably strawberry jam
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 bag(s) of cheese, grated
  • 1 onion(s), cut into rings
  • 1 large chili pepper(s), optional! finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp cocktail sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Oil for frying
  • n. B. herbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Tuna Patties: Drain the tuna well and place it in a bowl. Mix it with a fork. Add the eggs, flour, and a handful of grated cheese and stir in. Add a pinch of salt and pepper and mix well. Let the mixture rest for a moment, then form it into patties. Fry the tuna patties in a pan with a little oil until golden brown on both sides. Mayo/Jam Sauce: Put the mayonnaise in a bowl. Add the jam (strawberry jam is a tip from me), a pinch of salt, pepper, and a teaspoon of sugar, and mix well. Burger Buns: Cut open the burger buns. Add a little oil to the still-hot pan and sprinkle in some herbs. Place each bun half, inside out, in the pan and heat briefly. Layer the burger: – Burger bun bottom – Cocktail sauce – Mixed salad – Tuna patty – Mayo/jam sauce – Onion slices – Pepper pieces – Grated cheese – Burger bun lid.
