Tuna – Tomato – Rice Pan

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 can of tomatoes, peeled
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 250 ml meat broth
  • 1 bag of rice (10-minute rice)
  • salt water
  • 2 cans of tuna
  • salt and pepper
  • sour cream
  • e.g. lemon(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

light and delicious

Cook the rice in salted water. Peel the onions and garlic. Chop the onions and press the garlic through a garlic press. Drain the tuna and coarsely chop the tomatoes. Sauté the garlic and onions in a pan, add the tomatoes and their juices, and the spices. Deglaze with stock, add the tuna, and bring back to a slow boil. Mix the tuna sauce with the drained rice. Serve with sour cream and a lemon wedge.
