Turkey Meatballs in Dill Sauce
The perfect turkey meatballs in dill sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
for the turkey meatballs
- 300 g Minced turkey
- 1 Egg
- 2 tablespoon Breadcrumbs
- 1 Whole grain toast slice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Paprika powder to taste
- 1 Onion
- 1 tablespoon Finely chopped dill
- 0,5 liter Poultry broth
- For the sauce
- 2 tablespoon Butter
- 2 tablespoon Flour
- 0,25 liter Poultry broth
- 1 tablespoon Chopped dill
- And then, to taste, salt, pepper, nutmeg And a dash of lemon
- First of all, season the turkey mince vigorously, of course it’s taste – it doesn’t matter that someone thinks my spice information is missing. One likes more pepper, the other more paprika powder and those who are freshly in love use too much salt. No everyone has to know how spicy it is wants his little ball.
- Now soak the toast slice in a little milk and squeeze it out again and add the breadcrumbs to the minced meat. Peel the onion and add it. Now add the chopped dill and mix everything vigorously, this is best done with your hands. When the minced meat is no longer sticky, shape into small balls and cook in a little poultry stock.
- When they float above, remove the balls with the skimmer.
- Now make the light sauce.
- To do this, first melt the butter over a mild heat. Then add the flour and sauté briefly. Now slowly stir in half of the poultry stock and season with the grated nutmeg. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Stir in the rest of the liquid, bring to the boil again and then allow to thicken. Now season the sauce with salt and pepper. At the end add the dill but don’t let it boil anymore. Now cook the balls in the light sauce and serve with boiled potatoes and a delicious salad.
