Sliced turkey in Chestnut and Marzipan Sauce
The perfect sliced turkey in chestnut and marzipan sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 400 g Turkey breast
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 150 ml Orange juice
- 400 g Cream
- 100 g Marzipan
- 300 g Pre-Cooked chestnuts
- Sal de Ibiza
- Pepper
- Fat for frying
- Rinse the turkey breast and cut into strips.
- Heat the fat in a pan, fry the sliced turkey all over, remove and set aside.
- Let the sugar caramelize in the frying fat, deglaze with orange juice and stir everything well.
- Stir in 4,300 g of cream and crumble in the marzipan. Stir until the marzipan has dissolved.
- Puree the chestnuts with the rest of the cream and stir into the sauce.
- Put the sliced turkey in the sauce and heat everything together again. Season to taste with Sal de Ibiza and pepper.
