Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 can of pineapple slices (850 ml)
- 30 g spice mix for chicken wings
- 2 tbsp oil
- 750 g turkey breast cut into cubes
- 24 slice(s) bacon thin
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
Drain the pineapple, reserving any juice. Combine the spice mix, 2 tablespoons of water, 6 tablespoons of pineapple juice, and 1 tablespoon of oil. Mix the turkey breast with the marinade and let it stand for about 30 minutes. Cut the pineapple into pieces. Roll up the bacon. Thread 2 bacon rolls, pineapple chunks, and turkey breast cubes alternately onto the skewers. Place all skewers side by side on an oiled baking sheet and brush with the remaining marinade, if desired. Roast in a preheated oven at 200°C (175°C fan-assisted oven) for about 20-25 minutes. Turn the skewers halfway through the cooking time and finish cooking. Serve with a mixed salad. The skewers are easy to prepare in advance; all you need to do is pop them in the oven.
