Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g turkey breast
  • 100 g ham, diced
  • 150 g cocktail tomatoes
  • 15 basil leaves
  • 1 pack of sauce powder for tomato sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • Garlic
  • e.g. chili pepper(s)
  • e.g. mustard
  • possibly tomato paste
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Quickly prepared schnitzel in a spicy, fruity sauce.

If you didn’t buy ready-made strips, first cut the meat into bite-sized pieces. Wash and quarter the cherry tomatoes. Wash and chop the basil, too. Now add a small amount of oil to a suitable pan and fry the turkey pieces and ham cubes on all sides over medium heat. As soon as they show the first signs of coloring, add the tomatoes and basil and fry briefly over medium heat. Now add the amount of water needed for the tomato sauce and stir in the sauce powder. If your tomatoes are a bit watery, you can add a little tomato paste to enhance the flavor. Simmer the meat and tomatoes over low to medium heat for another 5 to 10 minutes until the meat is completely cooked. Season to taste: for a milder dish, just add a little salt, pepper, and garlic; for a spicier dish, add one or more finely chopped chilies and/or a teaspoon of hot mustard. This goes well with spaghetti, tagliatelle, or other pasta. Bon appetit!
