  • 4 turkey schnitzels or pork fillet
  • 3 bell peppers, red, green, yellow
  • 6 potatoes
  • 3 onions
  • 400 g bacon, diced
  • 10 slices of bacon
  • 1 tsp, heaped caraway seeds
  • 1 tsp oil for frying
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 55 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 25 minutes

Wash the turkey cutlets, pat dry, and season with salt and pepper. Briefly fry them in a pan and place them side by side in a deep casserole dish. Peel and wash the potatoes, then cut them into roughly equal-sized slices, along with the peppers and onions. First, arrange the potatoes on top of the cutlets and half of the diced bacon. Then scatter 1 teaspoon of caraway seeds on top. Then add the peppers, onion, and the rest of the diced bacon. Finally, arrange the bacon slices all over the baking sheet. Cover with aluminum foil and place in the oven at 220°C for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Then remove the aluminum foil and return to the oven for another 10 minutes, until the bacon is crispy. Serve with rice or a simple salad.
