Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 1 kg pumpkin flesh (Hokkaido)
- 500 g sugar
- ½ jar water
- Walnuts, chopped
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
simple preparation with few ingredients
Peel the pumpkin and slice it. Then layer the slices in a saucepan. Sprinkle each layer of pumpkin generously with sugar. Pour half a glass of water on top and simmer over low heat until the pumpkin is soft. Do not overcook, or the pumpkin will fall apart. Let the pumpkin cool. Arrange on dessert plates and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
