Turkish-style pasta salad

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 package of pasta, small Turkish or Italian (500 g)
  • Water (salt water)
  • 300 g natural yogurt (3.5%)
  • 300 g minced beef or lamb
  • 1 bunch parsley, flat, finely chopped
  • 4 onions, red, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • some thyme

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 50 minutes

Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, then let cool. Sauté the chopped onion and garlic in a pan, add the meat, and sear well. Add the finely diced tomatoes and season with tomato paste and spices. One after the other, add the pasta, yogurt, and the meat mixture to the bowl and mix well. Finally, sprinkle with the finely chopped parsley, but only stir in just before serving. Chill the salad thoroughly in the refrigerator. Remove from the refrigerator 1 hour before serving.
