Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 cup Lentils, red
- 1 cup bulgur
- 1 onion(s)
- Oil, neutral
- 1 liter vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- salt and pepper
- chili powder
- Tabasco
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Finely chop the onion and sauté it in a large pot with heated oil. Deglaze with broth and add the bulgur and red lentils. Stir in the tomato paste and bring to a boil. Season with salt, pepper, and chili. Cook the lentils and bulgur until soft, allowing the soup to thicken. Stir occasionally. Ladle into bowls and serve with a dash of Tabasco, if desired.
