Uschi's liver strips

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 slices of liver (preferably beef liver)
  • 2 small onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 pack of cream (UHT cream)
  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • Thyme

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Cut the liver into bite-sized pieces. Chop the onions and garlic into small pieces. Heat the margarine in a pan and fry the liver pieces until crisp. Add the onions and garlic and brown well. Stir to prevent burning. After about 4 minutes, add the spices, deglaze with the cream, and bring to a boil. Let it reduce slightly, season to taste, and serve. Homemade mashed potatoes are best served with this. Chicken or pork liver also works, of course.
