Vanilla boats

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 egg(s), including the yolk
  • 0.04 kg sugar (granulated sugar)
  • Vanilla

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

We owe a special recipe to the private treasure of a Hungarian major’s widow, Mrs. Hilde Jechl, who is unfortunately no longer among the living.

Beat one egg yolk with 4 tablespoons of caster sugar and vanilla for at least half an hour until frothy. (A food processor doesn’t need that long, of course!) Then simply fold a sheet of parchment paper, back and forth, into ribs and place it on the baking tray. Spoon a spoonful of the egg yolk mixture into each indentation and let it dry in a slightly warm oven for half to three-quarters of an hour. Then flatten the paper, and the delicious little boats can be easily removed. You can also fill candy capsules with the mixture and mix them into your Christmas cookies. Only remove the paper when you’re ready to eat.
