Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 liter of milk
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

totally delicious and with real vanilla

Pour the milk into a saucepan. Split the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Add the seeds to the saucepan with the milk and heat on the stove. When the milk is warm, add sugar to taste, about 3 tablespoons; more if you like it sweeter. Do not boil the milk, just heat it. The longer the milk steeps, the better it tastes. (You can also let it cool down and refrigerate it overnight.) Can be enjoyed hot or cold. You can further use the vanilla pod by placing it in a sealed container with sugar. Don’t forget to shake it regularly. Homemade vanilla sugar is brilliant.
