Vanilla pudding with cranberries

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 40 g cornstarch
  • 35 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • ½ liter of milk
  • n. B. Cranberry jam

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Split the vanilla pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds, and place them in a small bowl. Add the cornstarch, sugar, and vanilla sugar, and mix everything with 6 tablespoons of milk. Heat the remaining milk in a saucepan, stirring constantly. As soon as the milk starts to steam, add the cornstarch mixture and whisk. Simmer the pudding for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Be careful not to let it boil over or burn! Finally, pour the thickened vanilla pudding into a bowl and let it cool. Finally, top with cranberry jam and serve.
