Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 20 g yeast
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 250 ml milk
  • 70 g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Make a very firm yeast dough from the ingredients and place it in a warm place to rise. Form dumplings, fill them, place them on a dusted cloth, and cover and let rise again. Cook the dumplings slowly, covered, in lightly salted water for about 6 minutes, then turn them over and cook for another 5 minutes. Lightly pierce with a fork and keep warm. Mix the grated poppy seeds with sugar and drizzle with brown butter over the yeast dumplings. Filling: Mix the plum jam with cinnamon and rum and fill the dumplings with it.
