Vanilla soup with apple pieces à la Sebastian

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 apple
  • 250 ml milk
  • 15 g pudding powder, vanilla
  • Sweetener / Stevia / Sugar / Cinnamon to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

also very popular with children

Peel, core, and quarter the apple, then slice it into thick slices (by thick, I mean about 5 mm – don’t slice it wafer-thin). Combine the apple pieces with 1 teaspoon of the sugar/cinnamon mixture and microwave for about 1 minute at 600 watts. In the meantime, mix the milk (I use 1.5% fat milk) with the vanilla pudding powder and sweetener (for children, I would add another 1-2 teaspoons of sugar; those trying to lose weight should use sweetener or stevia) until lump-free. Once the apple is out of the microwave, place the vanilla sauce in the microwave for a short time – pour the warm sauce over the apple. Add more sweetener if desired. This recipe, by the way, comes from my 6-year-old son, who didn’t like traditional baked apples with vanilla sauce because the apple was difficult to slice. So he just spoons his soup out.
