Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 400 g flour
- 230 g margarine
- 8 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch of baking powder
- 75 ml water
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 800 g apples
- 50 g walnuts
- 400 ml apple juice
- 40 g cornstarch
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 vanilla pod(s)
- some fat for the mold
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes
Mix 250g flour, 1 pinch of baking powder, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Add 150g margarine and 75ml water and knead into a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in cling film and chill for 1 hour. Knead 80g margarine, 150g flour, 6 tablespoons of sugar, and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon into crumbles and chill. Peel and finely chop the apples. Finely chop the walnuts. Bring the apple juice to a boil and cook the cornstarch, cinnamon, and vanilla for 1 minute. Remove the apple juice from the heat and add the apples and walnuts. Roll out the dough in a greased pan and press up an edge into the pan. Spread the apple and nut mixture on the base. Sprinkle the cinnamon crumbles on top and bake the cake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top and bottom heat) on the bottom rack for about 40 minutes.
