Vegan Berliner Bread
The perfect vegan berliner bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 gr Flour
- 500 gr Farin sugar
- 3 tbsp Unsweetened cocoa
- 1 tsp Clove pepper
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 200 gr Whole almonds
- 200 gr Hazelnut kernels
- 250 ml Almond milk
- Mix all dry ingredients. Add almond milk. Use only enough milk (at least 250 ml) until the batter is even. Spread evenly on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at 200 degrees – above and below heat – for about 25 – 30 minutes depending on the oven. Immediately cut into strips and leave to cool. The Berlin bread is soft.
- Important !!!!! Please do not use Kandisfarin. Only the dark, slightly damp ones from the pharmacy, health food store, well-stocked smaller grocery store or bakery. Costs about € 50 per 500 gr.
