Vegan burger patties

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 small can of kidney beans
  • 2 tsp BBQ sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • some water
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

From beans, quick and easy

Finely dice the onion and garlic clove. Mash the kidney beans thoroughly with a potato masher or fork and mix with the onion, garlic, soy sauce, and seasoning. Add the oatmeal until a good consistency is reached, then add about 2-3 tablespoons of water. Form patties and let them rest for 10 minutes to prevent them from falling apart. Fry in a pan with oil until crispy on the outside. Top the burgers as desired.
