Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 5 rolls, vegan, from the day before
  • 100 ml soy milk (soy drink)
  • 100 ml water
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 10 g yeast flakes
  • 50 g pizza melt, vegan
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ tsp pepper
  • 2 pinches of nutmeg
  • e.g. parsley or chives
  • n. B. Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Peel and finely dice the onion. Cut the bread rolls into small pieces. Mix the bread roll cubes with the onions, nutritional yeast, spices, and pizza cheese in a bowl. Heat the soy milk and water until lukewarm, pour over the bread rolls, and let stand for 5 minutes. Then knead the ingredients into a smooth, slightly sticky mixture and form 6 equal-sized patties. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the patties on each side over medium heat for about 10 minutes each, until crispy and golden brown.
