Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 215 g chickpeas from a jar or can, drained weight
  • 4 tbsp sunflower oil, high quality
  • 2 tbsp water
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 4 pinch(s) black pepper, ground
  • ½ tsp salt (Kala Namak salt), black, Indian
  • e.g. chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Delicious and healthy spread, tastes a bit like egg salad

Wash and drain the chickpeas, then place them in a blender along with the other ingredients, except for the chives, and blend until relatively finely ground. Season with salt if desired; everyone’s tastes vary. Mix in a spoonful of chives (amount to your liking). I find about 3 teaspoons is enough. Very healthy!
