Vegan Lentil Balls

The perfect vegan lentil balls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 100 g Plate lentils (or red lentils)
  • 180 g Potatoes
  • 1 Big onion
  • 0,5 Clove of garlic (to taste)
  • 3 tbsp Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp Mustard
  • 1 tsp Curry
  • 1 tsp Sweet paprika
  • 0,5 tsp Chilli (at will)
  • 1 tsp Sugar or agave syrup
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper
  1. Soak the lentils in water for at least 12 hours.
  2. Cut the potatoes and onions into large cubes.
  3. Then put the lentils, potatoes, onions, mustard, garlic and spices in a tall container and puree with a hand blender to a smooth mass. Add the breadcrumbs and season again with salt and pepper.
  4. Then lightly moisten your hands and shape the mixture into small balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet and bake them in the oven at 160 ° C for 15 minutes.
  5. Finally, put the balls in a pan with oil, press lightly and bake until crispy and brown.
