Vegan, low-fat cinnamon rolls

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 20 g yeast
  • 200 ml plant milk (plant drink)
  • 100 g applesauce
  • 75 g sugar
  • ½ tsp cardamom
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp oil or margarine, e.g. B. Alsan
  • 40 g sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 28 minutes

with applesauce

For the dough, put the flour, salt, and cardamom in a bowl. Crumble the yeast into a well in the center and pour in lukewarm (plant-based) milk. Add the sugar and applesauce and knead everything into a smooth, non-stick dough. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour. Knead the dough again and roll it out on a work surface. Mix the sugar and cinnamon. Brush the dough with oil and spread the sugar-cinnamon mixture on top. Then roll it into a sausage shape, cut into approximately 3 cm thick slices, and place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 225°C fan/convection oven and let the cinnamon rolls rise again. Then bake for 5-10 minutes.
