Vegan Maultaschen with Onion and Spinach Filling on Fried Onions

  • Vegan dumpling dough *

  • 20 g Mild coconut fat
  • 2 size Chopped onions
  • 1 pack Frozen spinach leaves thawed
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable salt to season
  • 1 tbsp Pepper from the mill
  • ***********************************
  • 2 piece Large onions sliced
  • 2 tbsp Alsan – vegan butter
  • 2 tbsp Salt and pepper

  2. Make the dough, wrap it in foil and let it rest.
  3. Let the frozen spinach thaw in a sieve to allow the liquid to drain off.
  4. Sauté the onions in the coconut oil, add the drained spinach and sweat well, season with the vegetable salt and pepper and fill into the rolled out dough. Cook the Maultaschen in salted water and then bake on both sides in vegan butter.
  5. Now cut the two large onions into rings, sauté them in the vegan butter, add a little salt and pepper, then arrange everything on a plate.
