Vegetable stew with Debrecziner

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g cauliflower, fresh or frozen
  • 250 g green beans (frozen)
  • 3 m.-sized carrot(s)
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 2 pairs of sausages (Debrecziner)
  • 2 kohlrabi
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth, instant
  • salt and pepper
  • 400 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Slice the carrots and cut the potatoes and kohlrabi into medium-sized cubes. Cut the cauliflower into small florets (not necessary if frozen, of course). Place all the vegetables, including the beans, in a large pot. Add about 400 ml of water and bring everything to a boil. Season with salt, pepper, and the vegetable stock and simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Now slice the Debrecziner sausages and stir them into the vegetables. Simmer everything over low heat for another 5-10 minutes. Be careful with the salt when seasoning for the first time, as the Debrecziner sausages are quite spicy. It’s best to add more seasoning later.
