Vegetable strudel

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry or strudel dough from the refrigerated section
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • ½ can corn (sweet corn)
  • ½ zucchini
  • 100 g cheese (Emmental), diced
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • salt and pepper
  • marjoram

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

vegetarian, quick and delicious

Cut the onions into half slices and place them in a bowl. Dice the zucchini and add them to the onions. Add the corn and cheese. Crack in a whole egg and season with salt, pepper, and marjoram. Roll out the dough on a baking sheet, spread the mixture lengthwise and in the middle. Fold the dough over and press the opening down slightly. Fold the ends over and press down firmly. Turn the strudel onto its side so that the opening is no longer visible. Brush everything with egg yolk and bake at 220°C (fan oven) for about 15 minutes. If you like, you can swap out the vegetables as you like.
