Whole grain bread with bran and fiber is considered the healthiest. Nutritionist and endocrinologist Olena Barredo explained what changes will occur in the body if you exclude all types of bread from your diet.
“Bread is a fast carbohydrate that negatively affects carbohydrate metabolism and causes insulin resistance. If a person gives up bread, insulin, and glucose will decrease and carbohydrate and lipid metabolism will normalize,” the expert says.
According to her, triglycerides and bad cholesterol fractions will decrease.
“The growth of pathogenic bacteria and fungi will slow down in the intestines, which will give rise to the growth of friendly microbiota,” the nutritionist said.
