Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp oil, any type

Instructions

my favorite salad dressing

Mix the sugar and salt in a glass or small container. Add the water and stir until the sugar and salt are mostly dissolved. Then add the vinegar. Next, add the oil and mix well. I always use an electric milk frother to mix the oil, or I put all the ingredients in a small, clean jam jar with a screw lid and shake everything well. It’s a relatively acidic dressing. I like it this way, but you can add more water to make it milder. This amount is enough for half a head of lettuce, or even less.
