Waldorf salad with tuna

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 4 apples, red
  • 6 stalk(s) Celery
  • 100 g walnuts, chopped
  • 400 g tuna, from the can
  • 6 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 4 tbsp crème fraîche
  • 1 iceberg lettuce
  • ½ lemon(s) or lime, juice
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Quarter, core, and dice the apples. Drizzle with lemon or lime juice. Clean the celery and reserve a few attractive leaves for garnish. Cut the stalks into thin slices and toss them with the walnuts and diced apple. Tear the tuna into pieces and mix it with the mayonnaise and crème fraîche into the salad. Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Arrange 6 beautifully washed and patted dry lettuce leaves on serving plates, fill with the lettuce, and garnish with the celery leaves. Serve immediately or chill for 1-2 hours. Tip: Large shrimp can also be used instead of tuna. Use peeled for the salad or unpeeled for garnish.
