Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 serving of yeast dough for 1 baking tray*
  • 150 g sugar
  • 300 g flour
  • 150 g butter
  • 300 g walnuts, chopped
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 200 g butter, melted

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

* A basic recipe for yeast dough for 1 baking sheet can be found here: https://www.chefkoch.de/rezepte/151491066646634/Hefeteig.html Preheat the oven to 175°C (top/bottom heat). Spread the yeast dough (ready-made or homemade) on a baking sheet. Make a crumb topping from the listed ingredients and spread it on the yeast dough. Bake for approx. 30 minutes on the middle rack. In the meantime, mix the sour cream or sour cream, powdered sugar, and melted butter to make a glaze. After baking, spread the Gutt immediately over the hot cake. Then let everything cool completely.
