Walnut – cinnamon – slices

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 200 g butter or margarine
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 150 g walnuts, chopped
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • Water, as needed
  • Brittle

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cream the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs, and salt until very fluffy. Combine the flour, baking powder, cocoa, and cinnamon and stir into the egg mixture. Stir in the chopped walnuts and spread them into a greased baking sheet or baking frame. Bake for approximately 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Then, while still warm, cover with the powdered sugar and cinnamon glaze. Sprinkle with walnut or regular brittle on top.
